AI GLOSSARY

Embodied AI

Robotics & Autonomous Systems

AI that exists within and interacts with a physical body and environment, such as a robot, autonomous vehicle, or drone, rather than operating purely in the digital domain. Embodied AI must deal with the complexity and unpredictability of the real world, including sensor noise, physical constraints, and the consequences of irreversible actions, making it significantly more challenging than purely software-based AI.
