Under the EU AI act, certain uses of AI considered so harmful that they are banned outright, regardless of safeguards. Prohibited practices include systems that manipulate people subconsciously, exploit vulnerabilities of specific groups, enable mass social scoring by governments, and most uses of real-time remote biometric identification in public spaces.
