A structured, evidence-based argument, adapted from safety engineering in industries like aviation and nuclear power, for why a specific AI system is safe enough to deploy given its intended use and context. Safety cases are increasingly proposed as a formal deliverable frontier labs should produce before releasing highly capable models.
